The American Public Gardens Association is an association of public-garden institutions and professionals primarily in the United States and Canada. APGA is the largest peer network of public gardens and represents organizations of all sizes. As a Member garden, PowellsWood has access to conferences and dozens of resources that spark insight and improvement in the world of public horticulture. APGA engages in advocacy efforts to protect and promote public gardens and our collective natural heritage.

Friends of the Rainforest inspires children and adults to protect and preserve the rainforest. PowellsWood sponsors Friends of the Rainforest and mirrors its passion for education and youth-driven advocacy. This partnership helps bridge the connection between protecting PowellsWood’s 37-acre nature preserve and the preservation of the Pacific Flyway -an aerial “highway” for migratory birds and insects. Friends of the Rainforest and PowellsWood share a passion for land conservation and galvanizing people to take action to protect the environment.
