Worm BinThe children who came to the Storytelling Festival loved our latest addition to the garden—a new worm bin!

PowellsWood crew member Jesse built the bin from a plan provided by Seattle Tilth. And Head Gardener Shawn’s young daughter, Sophia, has been adding just the right ingredients to make it an active compost system, including layers of shredded newspaper, kitchen scraps (fruits, veggies, tea and coffee grounds), and of course, the fun part—worms!
